How I Corrected My PDF Files That Opens as MS Word Unreadable Encoding Format

From the day I tried to convert one of my PDF Files to Word, for updates and corrections. I noticed that all my PDF Files couldn't open normally except I decided to choose the "OPEN WITH" format when I right click on the PDF Document.

 I also noticed that all my PDF Documents were saved as Word and whenever I tried to open directly, it show is MS DOT Encoded Format, which is on readable.

I tried so many method of "Repairing My Installed PDF Raw File" and so on, but nothing worked. Then I stumbled on community online where I found a solution to my long term problem.

Below are the steps to take to solve your PDF File issues that saves and opens as MS word Unreadable Encoding Format,

STEP TO CORRECT PDF FILES OPENING AS MS WORD UNREADABLE FORMAT:

1.  Go to where your PDF Document is saved

2. Right Click on the PDF Document showing as MS Word as seen in the screenshot below

 
3. After RIGHT CLICKING, a Pop Up window shows up. Then Scroll down to "Properties"

4. Click on "Properties"

5. Another Window will Pop up as shown in my screenshot below (you can see my PDF file is showing as word)

  

6. Click on the CHANGE button

7. Select ADOBE RREADER as the file you want to change to.

8. Click Apply/Ok ( The changes should apply to all your files saved as PDF)


You can see from the picture above that all my PDF file are now restored and saves as PDF
