How to Create a Facebook Page

A Facebook Page is quite different from your Facebook Profile. Creating a Facebook Page could be for a special purpose like for Business, Entertainment, Events, Community and so on.

A Facebook Page is actually a platform created by Facebook to allow Facebook Users to carry out their business from, looking professional.

Facebook actually saw a need of doing this because people promote their business using their personal profiles which doesn't make them look professional

So for users to carry on business with a professional touch, the need for a Facebook Page was required. In this tutorial I am going to be showing you how to open a Facebook Page for your personal business. Funny enough some people do not know how to Create a Facebook Page till date. As for me I have several Facebook Pages for my Blogs and personal businesses.

HOW TO CREATE A FACEBOOK PAGE IN EASY STEPS

1. If you are logged on to your Facebook Personal Profile, go to https://www.facebook.com/pages/create/ 

 

2. You should see a new window like the one in the screenshot above

3. Click to choose a page category (that is, Business or Place, Brand or Products, Company or Organisation, Entertainment etc)

 

4. Select a more specific category from the drop down menu as shown in the screenshot below

 

5. Fill out the required information (For Example, Business Name- AYZ DOT COM; Street Address- #432, VGC; City- Lagos; Zip Code- 23401; Phone- 08013333000)

6. Click the GET STARTED button

You will be directed to fill some other boxes, in the box where you are being asked to advertise please do not advertise yet. It's Facebook's strategy to pay for advert the costly way.
