HOW TO ENABLE/REMOVE TWO-STEP VERIFICATION ON WHATSAPP : AVOID BEING HACKED BY SCAMMERS AND FRAUDSTERS, PROTECT YOUR WHATSAPP

WhatsApp is the most widely used social media messaging app in the world today. It is the cheapest and easiest way messages can be conveyed by any entity in the world.

WhatsApp has become the mainstay of many businesses in our modern world and family, friends, organizations are all using WhatsApp as the fastest medium via which they can send and receive messages or vital information.

Many infidels or scammers have come to realize the importance of WhatsApp to an average individual and have developed certain phishing methods to hack vulnerable individuals.

Therefore the need to protect your WhatsApp number arises due to this unjust act, which has made WhatsApp to introduce the 2-way verification process.

This 2-way verification process is vital, if you have not done your WhatsApp "2 steps pin verification". It is important you do it because the rate at which hackers are hacking and scamming people's WhatsApp is quite on the high side.

It won't cost you anything to do that on your WhatsApp.

STEPS TO FOLLOW WHEN VERIFYING YOUR WHATSAPP NUMBER

In order to prevent such a thing from happening to you or anyone close to you. Because anyone can be the next victim of these scammers.

1. Open your WhatsApp. Then click on the three (3) dotted lines on the top right corner. A list of clickable drop-down tab will come up. (see image below).

2. Then, Go to *settings* on your WhatsApp, (see image below)

3. Click on Account. (See image below)

4. Click on "Two- step verification" (see image below)

5. Click on the ENABLE button as seen in the image below.

6. Enter a "6-digit pin". Then click on the Next Button. (See image below)

7. Confirm your 6-digit pin again on the next page. Ensure the 6-digit pin is the same with the one you entered previously. (See image below)

8. Enter your valid email address and then click on Next.

9. Confirm your email address by entering it again. Ensure it is the same email. (double check spellings & numbers).

10. Now click on the DONE button. And that is all.

*That's all* 🤷‍♂🤷‍♀🧏‍♂🧏

REMOVE 2-STEP VERIFICATION/CHANGE PASSWORD/CHANGE EMAIL

To remove two-step verification from your WhatsApp, you would still have to follow the same process to remove the verification from step (1) to (4). See steps below:

1. Open your WhatsApp. Then click on the three (3) dotted lines on the top right corner. A list of clickable drop-down tab will come up. (see image below).

2. Then, Go to *settings* on your WhatsApp, (see image below)

3. Click on Account. (See image below)

4. Click on "Two- step verification" (see image below).

5. Click any of the items you want to take action for. If you want to Disable Two-step verification click on Disable, or Change PIN if you want to change your PIN, or Change email address if you want to change to a new email address.

NOTE THAT: You will be required to provide to enter your PIN if you are registering your phone number with WhatsApp again from another device.

If someone apart from you wants to access your WhatsApp without your permission, WhatsApp will ask for the *Two-step verification* and without it the account won't open.

Kindly be cautious, prevent being HACKED and be safe online. Be careful on certain phishing link that promises quick money, p*rn sites, etc. These hackers use ones desires such as financial desires and lusts to gain access. So be mindful and cautious.

 Stay safe
