Internet fraud has been a main setback in the rise of the use of internet for successful transaction in Nigeria.
Internet services can be used to present fraudulent solicitations to prospective victims, to conduct fraudulent transactions, or to transmit the proceeds of fraud to financial institutions or to others connected with the scheme. Internet fraud can occur in chat rooms, email, message boards, or on websites.
The GOOD STORY is that despite the wicked act of internet fraudsters, there are also legitimate businesses that have made name online and those that are actually rising stars in the internet business who are really building trust.
Trust is a very hard thing but simple to build online. The truth is that the likes of Facebook.com , Google.com , Amazon.com , ebay.com built trust before people could confidently use these sites all over the world to carry out transactions even without a face to face contact.
