Cyber Monday is a marketing term for the Monday after the Thanksgiving holiday in the United States. The term "Cyber Monday" was created by marketing companies to persuade people to shop online.
According to the Shop.org/Bizrate Research 2005 eHoliday Mood Study, "77 percent of online retailers said that their sales increased substantially on the Monday after Thanksgiving, a trend that is driving serious online discounts and promotions on Cyber Monday this year (2005)". (WIKIPEDIA)
In 2013, Cyber Monday online sales grew by 20.6% over the previous year, hitting a record $2.29 billion, with an average order value of $128.

The deals on Cyber Monday are online-only and generally offered by smaller retailers that cannot compete with the big retailers.
The major difference between Black Friday Deals and Cyber Monday, is that Black Friday is the best day to get cheap deals on technology with nearly 85% more data storage deals than Cyber Monday.
Unlike Black Friday, which takes place the day after Thanksgiving and sees big in-store discounts, Cyber Monday is an online-only event. So online and offline shoppers tend to take advantage of Black Friday compared to Cyber Monday.
From year to year Cyber Monday sales have always been on the increase because of the awareness of online transactions spreading daily worldwide. In Nigeria for example, the rate at which online transactions have shoot up since the last 3 years has really been a huge.
Almost 45% of businesses in Nigeria today are online and in the next few years, if any business isn't online in Nigeria I bet it would experience a low Return on Investment.
