How to Collect Tips or Payments or Donations Directly on Twitter Profile

Twitter is a microblogging and social networking service where users interact with messages or short videos or images or GIF knows as tweets. It is the largest bookmarking sites in the world.  

Twitter is one of the most used social media platform. Twitter has come to be a platform where people can easily share their thoughts, ideas or even products/services.

In this post today, I will be sharing with you ways you can get paid directly on Twitter from your profile. .

Everyone who has a product or service want to be paid swiftly. Therefore Twitter has made it possible and easy for you to receive payments or donations via your Twitter profile.

What is Tips?

Tips is a feature that lets you add links to select third-party payment services to your Twitter profile. When you turn on Tips on your profile, people can support you by tapping on your Tips icon to send you money or Bitcoin off-platform via the third-party payment services and platforms you have added.

Where is Tips available?

For those on iOS and Android, you’ll see the money  icon on the profile pages of people who have set up Tips on their profile. For people on Android, you’ll also find it on their profile while in Twitter Spaces.

*** Note: Currently Tips is not available on web browser for twitter.

How To Turn on Tips on Your Twitter Profile to Start Receiving Payments.

1. Go to your twitter profile using your App.

2. Click on Edit Profile, by the side of your Picture/Avatar (see picture below)

3. Another window should pop up, then scroll down and click on Tips.

Note:  Tips will show Off because it is yet to be turned on by you. 

4. Click on Allow Tips, to turn on the Tips Button.

4. The tip button should show as blue. (This means it has been turned on). Now you can insert your Bitcoin address, barter, Chipper, Ethereum Address, Patreon and Paga Wallet

OPEN A BITCOIN / ETHEREUM ACCOUNT HERE

After entering the relevant payment details, go back and save. You should see a money sign close to your Edit Profile like the image below. 

Now begin to direct your twitter followers or those who read your tweet to your profile to start making payments to whatever service or product you sell. They can also simply make a donation if you appeal to them and they see reasons why they should make donations to you.
