Linked is basically used for professional networking, to connect Employers to potential employees who have the required skills to work on the job or interns who are seeking ways to improve their career path.



LinkedIn has been structured in a way that it operated both on Mobile Application and websites. It allows job seekers to post their CV and employers to post jobs. LinkedIn bridges the gap between job seekers and employers. 

With LinkedIn you can also access knowledge and insights from professionals with over 750+ members.  

BENEFITS OF USING LINKEDIN TO SEARCH FOR JOBS OR EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Using LinkedIn tod search employment opportunities have various benefits to job seekers and employers of labour and the list is not limited to what I will be stating onf this blog. The benefits include;

1. Direct communication between employer and potential employees 

2. Employee will have the opportunity to apply directly through the company LinkedIn posts. 

3. You can easily detect when an employment is coming from a real company account or fake account.

4. The employers can also see a potential employee's profile and know if the potential employee is a qualified candidate. (This is where you have to make sure your profile contains your real names, years of experience, if any and places you must have worked in the past, awards won, certifications obtained, training attended etc.)

5. Also your profile picture as a potential employee is a great selling point for you and shoes the employer that you are a serious candidate. 


HOW TO SRT UP YOUR LINKEDIN ACCOUNT 

1. Go to www.linkedin.com to register for and account using a valid email address.

2. Navigate to the signup page.

3. Enter your first name, last name, valid email address and password

4. Click on the Join Now button.

5. Compete any other step as required. Like (School attended, Work Experience and so on) 


HOW TO APPLY FOR JOBS ON LINKEDIN 

After registration ensure you sign in to your created account. 

1. Go to JOBS , Enter the kind of position you desire (e.g Accounts Officer, Engineer, Lawyer, Social Media Manager etc). 


NOTE: That the image above is a Mobile Image. On the laptop you should find the job tab on the top corner of the website.

2. Also enter your Location in the box provided for your location (e.g Texas, Lagos, Luxemburg). 

This will actually help you trim your job search to the the country you are living and the particular city or town in that country. 

Ensure your profile is up-to-date before applying for any job. This will go a long way.
