Due to the recent directives by Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC), on telecommunication users to link their National Identification Numbers with their phone lines. GLOBACOMGLOBACOM has gone ahead to disconnect non-compliant customers by restricting them from making calls as directed by the Federal Government of Nigeria. There has been an uproar since the incident on the 5th of April, 2022.
Users of Glo mobile network has been worried on how the incident could affect their business and relationships at large.
OPTION 1: Call 109 and follow the voice prompt (This one worked for me). 😛
Note that if you are calling 109 then you must have your National identification Number handy.
Alternatively, you can dial *346# to retrieve your NIN if you have registered. Your NIN contains 11 digit numbers. Example 12345678901
OPTION 2: Send "UPDATENIN NIN FirstName and LastName"" to 109
Example "UPDATENIN 12345678901 Alfred Ugwuna" to 109
Example "UPDATENIN 12345678901 Alfred Ugwuna" to 109
OPTION 3: Visit GLO NIN PORTAL http://mobileapp.gloworld.com/glonin/home and enter the required details: NAME, MOBILE NUMBER, NIN, EMAIL
